    Injury to property at the Kelham Wheel Dam Goit and Sluice according to the ~ Estimate of Mr. Thomas Lightfoot of which a copy is herewith £345      
    Charges of Surveyor and Contractor £5 5s    
  £345"0"0 I hereby beg to offer to clear out the Goit, West of the Kelham Wheel and rebuild the Brick Wall near the sluice to the satisfaction of your ~ Surveyor (Mr. Holmes) for the sum of Three hundred and forty five pounds.
This Estimate applies only to the damages caused and what I consider the mud left by the Inundation in ~ March last and that I am allowed the privilege of carting the rubbish into the River close adjoining.
