  The Claim is made in respect of injury to the Freehold of the Property specified of which the Claimants are owners and is exclusive of the Rights & Interest of the Tenants in respect of their several yearly holdings in such property or in the parts thereof respectively held by such Tenants   Schedule A referred to in the Annexed Claim        
    No. 1 Damages to Land situate adjoining the Sheffield and Penistone Turnpike Road at Owlerton in the Township of Nether Hallam in the Parish of Sheffield        
  In respect of a Field called the Bridge Field and Garden Land, both held by Mr George Hawksley under a Yearly holding Damage to and in part destruction of the Walls and Hedges, also destruction of the Gates and Posts, About 75 Yards of the Bank of the River Loxley adjoining to Bridge Field and being near to Owlerton Bridge, also about 80 Yards of Wall along such River near the same place washed away. Nearly 3 Acres of Land damaged requiring to be resoiled and first levelled. Damage to and in part destruction of the Occupation Road £485 3s    
  In respect of Another field called the Slack Field in same occupation Destruction of Wall alongside the Turnpike Road and the Road to Slack Works. About 60 Yards of Wall along the River Loxley washed away £43 13s 4d  
    No. 2 - Damages to the Road heading to Old Park Wood and to the Club Mill in the Township of Brightside Bierlow in the Parish of Sheffield        
    Destruction of the Bridge over the Head Goit of the Sand Bed Tilt and of about 180 Yards of Bank and Fence along side the River Don and Damage to the Roadway £212 11s 11d  
    No. 3 - Damages to the following new streets in the township of Brightside Bierlow

    Note. Of this Sum of £39.16.8 The Claimants have already expended about £30        
    No. 4 - Damage to the Cattle Market in Sheffield        
  In respect of the River Wall, Calf Shed and Urinals Damage to and in part destruction of the River Wall, alongside the River Don, the Calf Shed and Cattle Pens, and the Urinals £220 14s 3d  
    Note. Of this Sum of £220.14.3 the Claimants have already expended about £200        
    Note. The Claimants have not deemed it necessary to make any claim in respect of injury done to property held by Lessees and in which they are interested in respect of the reversion inasmuch as they assume that any Amount which shall be payable by the Company for injury done to any premises in which any such Lessee is interested will either be expended by the company in restoration of the premises injured, or will only be paid by them on the joint receipt of the Claimants or their Agent and the Lessee to the intent that the Claimants may have a control in the Expenditure thereof as they contend that the receipt of a Lessee alone for any compensation payable in respect of injury done to the premises demised [?] to him would not be a sufficient discharge for the same. If this View be incorrect the Claimants reserve to themselves the right to apply to the Sheffield Inundation Commissioners to allow a claim to be lodged in the respect of the matter aforesaid, presnant [?] to the provisions of section 43 of the above mentioned act.
