The Claimant at the time of the Flood had 18 Dozens of Fish hook Knives (in an unfinished state) in the Rowell Bridge Grinding Wheel near Stannington part of which Wheel belonged to the Claimant and which Knives were wholly lost and were of the value of 2/10 per Dozen. |

The Claimant had also 6 Dozens of ~ Barlow Knives (unfinished) in the said Grinding Wheel which knives were wholly lost and were of the value of 2/2 per Dozen. |

Several of the Grinders who occupied that part of the Wheel which belonged to the ~ Claimant were employed by the Claimant in his business of a Spring knife Manufacturer in Grinding his Knife Blades etc. and in consequence of the destruction of the said Wheel the Claimant was unable for a ~ considerable period to get his blades ground and his business was thereby consequently much impeded and he thereby sustained damages much exceeding but which he is content to fix at |

The Claimant has also paid to the following Workmen who were in his employ at the time of the Inundation for ~ compensation for loss of time during which they were in his Service but unable to render the same by reason of the destruction of the said Wheel whereby the Claimant has sustained Damages to the amount of the sums so paid namely, |
