  Nature of Claimant’s Interest   Particulars of Claim Amount of Damages Claimed  
  The said Henry Cooper is entitled as absolute in fee to one ~ Moiety of the Tannery, Buildings, and Premises and upwards of Five Acres of Building Land thereto adjoining situate at Neepsend Sheffield ~ and the other moiety thereof respectively belongs to the said Mary Cooper, Henry Cooper, and Joshua Moorhouse as Devises in Trust and Executors under the Will of William Cooper deceased who died on the 19th October 1863.
The said Henry Cooper and William Cooper carried on upon the said Tannery and Premises an extensive Business as Tanners in partnership ~ together for many Years prior and up to the decease of the said William Cooper ~ The whole of the Stock in Trade Partnership Credits and Effects in the said Business at the time of the Inundation belonged and now belong as to one Moiety thereof respectively to the said Henry Cooper in his own right and to the other moiety thereof respectively to the said Mary Cooper, Henry Cooper and Joshua Moorhouse as such Devises in Trust and Executors of the said William Cooper deceased and the said several parties were at the time of the Inundation and still are the actual occupiers of the said Tannery and Premises.
  To Damages sustained by the Claimants by reason of the Inundation by the loss and destruction of and injury to their Property situate at Neepsend ~ Sheffield referred to in the annexed Schedule and costs incurred by them to date of this Claim towards repairing and making good the same and consequential dam~ages sustained by the Claimants by reason of the said Inundation and the matters aforesaid as mentioned in the said Schedule hereunto annexed and therein particularized ~ which Damages and Costs the Claimants ~ seek to recover from the Sheffield Water Works Company amounting together to the sum of £13671 16s
