  Nature of Claimant’s Interest   Particulars of Claim Amount of Damages Claimed  
  The Claimant John Pitchford is entitled as owner in fee simple to one moiety of six twelfth parts of the property mentioned in Part 1. of the Schedule hereto and to a moiety of the entirety of the Property comprized in Part 2 of the said Schedule and is entitled to one moiety of the Damages hereby claimed in his own right. The other moieties of the said Property (in which the said John Pitchford is entitled to one moiety as aforesaid) heretofore belonged to George Goodinson late of Stannington aforesaid Farmer who died on the 15 October 1850 having previously executed a Mortgage of his said Moiety with power of sale to the said Charles Wright for securing £250 and Interest and which Mortgage is now subsisting. The said George Goodinson by his Will dated 23 August 1842 devised his said Moiety to his Trustees the said ~ Hannah Goodinson, and Jonathan Goodinson, upon trust for his Daughter the said Hannah Goodinson and his Daughter the said Elizabeth Elliott, Wife of Joseph Elliott their heirs and Assigns as Tenants in Common. The Will contains a devise over of the shares respectively of the said Hannah ~ Goodinson and Elizabeth Elliott to their issue in case of death leaving issue and in the event of death of either without issue then over to issue of the other Hannah Goodinson has never been married and is now past Child bearing. Elizabeth Elliott died in 1857, leaving surviving her, her husband now living and the five Children (claimants) George, Eliza, Elizabeth, Mary Ann, and Jonathan, all of whom ~ except the two latter are of full age ~   The Claimant John Pitchford as owner of one moiety of six twelfth parts of the Dam Banks, and Appurtenances of and to the Rowell Bridge Grinding Wheel and Buildings and Premises situate in the Chapelry of Bradfield and Parish of Ecclesfield Yorkshire, mentioned in Part 1 of the Schedule hereto annexed and as Owner of one half of the South end of the said Rowell Bridge Grinding Wheel, Lands, hereditaments, and Premises also situate as aforesaid mentioned in Part 2 of the said Schedule ~ And the said Charles Wright as Mortgagee and the rest of the Claimants (other than the said John Pitchford) as Deevisees of the said George Goodinson deceased as ~ Owners (subject to the said Mortgagee) of the other moiety of six twelfth parts of the aforesaid Property mentioned in Part 1 of the said Schedule and as owners of the remaining half of the aforesaid Property mentioned in Part 2 of the said Schedule and all the said Claimants according to their respective ~ rights and interests in the Premises have sustained Damages by the loss and destruction of and injury to their Property mentioned in the said Schedule hereto by reason of the ~ Inundation and further damages Consequent thereupon according to the Particulars contained in the said Schedule which damages they are ~ entitled to and seek to recover from the Sheffield Water Works Company amounting together to £1564 4s 10d
